While spring may have arrived, and the sun begun to warm up the days, it doesn’t mean it’s still time to incorporate your tank tops and denim-cut shorts into your looks. The truth is the weather is still in between – cold in the morning, hot in the day, and back again to cold at night – a time that doesn’t allow one to wear lesser clothes unless you’re somewhere in the Caribbean or Miami right now.
In Georgia, the weather seems to be changing often. The average temperature can go from 45 degrees in the morning to 68 degrees in the day. And with someone like me who gets cold in an instant, a long sleeve shirt doesn’t do anything. But neither do I want to be carrying around a sweater all day long when the temperature becomes benevolent. This is the time when basic layering becomes crucial to stay on style while feeling comfortable.
A denim jacket is perhaps one of the most convincing pieces of layering that never seems to go out of style nor season. What I love about these jackets is that they’re practical and fitted to wear with a t-shirt or casual button down-shirt in the morning that can later be wrapped around the waist like a cool kid of the 90s or rolled up. It simply can’t get any better than this, right? I find them to be a much better alternative to the moments when you need to change it from the lightly fleece sweater.
It’s a wardrobe stable worth an investment like the J.Crew denim jacket pictured above paired with a unique and mien Raf Simons jersey t-shirt that speaks style and practicality. It simply can’t get any better than this, right? The look above is just the beginning of many more different methods you can prep your denim jacket.
